I think that in a given day we all have access to some pretty sweet hookup and deals beyond the purely creative and financial types.  It just takes a little ingenuity to tap into the resources we have.  Take for instance one of my favorite people in the world Katie, aka Kate, Marshall.  Who after a few weeks of pondering, realized that since she works at UC Press, which has some pretty important publications, she gets a great discount on books.  Next thing you know, for a one hundred dollar benjammin’ print she traded:

What is glorious about the trade is that for a little less than 100 bucks she gave me three killer books that, 1. would have cost me much more than 100 dollars 2. are a resource and inspiration in my personal and professional life.

PLUS, her mother came to visit and bought me banana cream pie. Delicious! Thanks Charlie and Katie!
